Anna C. Verster was left with paralysed arms and legs as a result of a spinal injury in a road accident in 1975. Since then she has been bound to a wheelchair. Following the accident she turned to mouth painting, and as early as 1978 was given a scholarship by the Association. She became a Regular Member of the AMFPA in 1986.

In her paintings Anna C. Verster describes the landscape of South Africa. Her favourite subjects include the steppes, the bush or bays. She also has a particular fondness for still lifes. Her numerous works have already been brought to the attention of a broader public by means of frequent participation in exhibitions. In addition, she gives regular lectures on the topic of mouth painting at various events, combining them mostly with a painting demonstration.

Before her accident, Anna C. Verster had successfully graduated from high school. She was then a music teacher, and for this reason music still mean a great deal to her. Her other hobbies include gardening and relaxing in the company of her friends.
